“We are our memory, we are that chimerical museum of shifting shapes,
that pile of broken mirrors”
Jorge Luis BorGES
We picked this quote by Jorge Luis Borges for this year’s exhibition in order to inspire our artists to plumb the depths of their reminiscences, to summon up their hopes and dreams and to disentangle their fragmented thoughts, in order to re-arrange and present them in an artistic form as they deem appropriate. We hope the quote will be a launching platform for all creative endeavours and not a straitjacket.
