‘Memories rarely arrive as clean images, they emerge through associations, overlaps and interruptions. These paintings of a woven hedge mimic that mental entanglement. The tangled forms resemble neural pathways, branches or veins – structures that carry information beneath conscious awareness. Nothing is fixed. Shapes emerge and dissolve, much like recollections that surface in fragments rather than complete narratives.’
