Patrick Lears

‘I utilise and push material resources; wood, glass, clay and paint with a playful and experimental approach - trusting that some sort of visual harmony is just there, waiting to speak. Most works are developed in layers and stages over a period of time, reflecting the balance between meditation and action.

My current work addresses equipoise, fragmentation and fluidity in what are normally solid totemic structures.

We are delighted to have Patrick as part of our Contemporary Kent Artists exhibition at The Horsebridge Arts Gallery the 7th - 19th of October 2026.
