Christina Reynolds

Meet Christina, a remarkably talented artist who brings a delightful blend of wit and creativity to her work. Armed with nothing but enamel, imagination, and a deep appreciation for beauty, she transforms vintage mirrors into stunning one-of-a-kind artworks that reflect modern humor and heartfelt sentiment.

Christina uses traditional signwriting techniques to produce colourful, sassy pieces on unexpected objects.  A signwriter who thinks life should be full of colour and personality and under no circumstances, should it be taken too seriously!  Her art challenges the status quo as, looking right back at you from her salvaged vintage mirrors are words of wisdom, uncomfortable truths and hilarious homecomings.

Having decided to add some joy to the day-to-day mundanity of life, Christina began by learning basic signwriting techniques from Joby Carter (master signwriter).  She quickly fell in love with the boldness of fairground art and has been developing her own style for the last two years, during which time she has gained a loyal following, taking commissions and selling many pieces across the country and abroad.

Christina’s work will brighten up your day and bring a wry smile to your face.  Whatever you see when you look in the mirror, in Christina’s lexicon, there’s a phrase for it – what will yours be?” Take a look at her instagram to see more of her work.

We are delighted to have Christina as part of our Contemporary Kent Artists exhibition at The Horsebridge Arts Gallery the 8th - 20th of October 2025.
